Shadrack Kubyane is a Techpreneur. He is a Co-founder and the CEO of Coronet Blockchain. His last corporate role was with Deloitte, after which he spent a decade: scaling businesses via his management consulting expertise.
The segway that ushered him into blockchain: was when he led a team that scaled an SME from 500 USD to 2 million USD within 36 months.
Following this breakthrough, he uncovered a treasure trove of Africa’s broken & fragmented supply chains that needed repairing. Blockchain’s unparalleled capabilities proved to be the perfect fit. Affectionately referred to as Africa’s Blockchain Barron, he is a passionate AfCFTA advocate.

- Flown in to address the Prime Minister of Ethiopia on strategic Trade matters pertaining coffee, leather, textiles and dairy supply chains, in 2021
- Led a high level Government delegation from Lesotho, as the trade Advisor & deal lead to the Deputy Prime Minister, during a multi-billion acquisition planning of buses from an Egyptian manufacturer, in 2020.
- Co-Founded a tech start-up, funded in 2 tranches by IBM tranches in the middle of the COVID pandemic, due to the vision & leadership I displayed, 2019-current.
- Let my consulting team: to scale a new entity, on behalf of an ex-Deloitte colleague of mine, from 500 USD to 2 million USD revenue in 36 months, in 2017.
- I was hands-on within a Market facing team, deployed on the ground, by Deloitte, on behalf of a Health Insurance scheme, that saw the project reach 5 billion ZAR within 3 years, a feat that required a leading competitor 13 years to achieve.
- Turned around a high end Retail business on the brink of collapse, brought in new investors and redesigned the brand’s value proposition & future trajectory, in 2016.
- Advised the Chief Executive Officer of Transnet Freight Rail, the largest freight hauler in Africa, on turning around its operations to claw back marketshare, in 2007.
