Nkiru has over 2 decades of experience as a Senior Corporate Executive looking after the reputation of multinational and national brands in Africa. Her work experience spans across various service sectors including Financial Services, Aviation, Telecommunication and the Oil and Gas sectors. She currently works in a financial services Group in South Africa in a role that covers several African Countries.
She is very passionate about helping youths attain marketplace readiness; in 2014, she founded an agency, the LightHouse Network in pursuit of that social impact. She goes with her team to underserved schools to help upskill youths; so far she has reached directly over 5000 youths. She also provides structured mentorship support for young Working Girls through the network.
Nkiru has featured as a speaker at several international events including Forbes Africa Women’s summit, the London Advertising Week, International Advertising Association, Africa Public Relations Conference, and Standard Bank’s Blue Heels women’s programme, Google’s International Women’s Day Celebration, etc.
Over the past couple of years, she has received several recognitions including Leading Ladies Africa’s top 50 leading African Corporate women, Guardian Nigeria’s Top Africa women in PR, Top women in marketing and communications and many others.
She is currently a PhD student at the Witswaterands University South Africa; and she holds a Master’s degree in Strategic Marketing Management from the Kingston University London, alongside a post graduate diploma in management/first degree in biological sciences plus a number of professional trainings.
Nkiru is a certified coach, public speaker, published author and a female enthusiast who is keen on seeing women hone their leadership skills. She frequently hosts leadership programmes through the Lighthouse Women’s Network’s mentoring Hub.
She is married to Olumide Ojo and they are blessed with 2 children.
